C.R. England Announced the Purchase of TMWSuite, TMT Fleet Maintenance.

According to MarketWatch.com, C. R. England, Inc.  announced the purchase of TMT Fleet Maintenance and TMWSuite.  The purpose of its buy was to gain additional efficiencies for their other operating divisions.  

The company was in need of new software since they have been using the same operating system to manage their transportation since the 1980’s.  With the growth that CR England, Inc. saw, the old software, IBM i (AS/400), could no longer cart the heavy load it was carrying.  

The article quoted Chad England, President of C.R. England of North America, as stating:"We've benefited for years from the reliability and flexibility of our AS/400 system, but felt it was the right time for us to move to a Windows(R) platform, in order to meet future growth and development goals."   And Ron Hall, the director of operations technology, was cited as saying: "Although all of the vendors we reviewed had excellent products, we felt the applications from TMW Systems offered the best fit for our unique needs."

TMW Systems, Inc. is a technology-based company that manages services for logistics and transportations all over the world.  Their company has a clientele list of over 1,800 and has more than 1.2 million assets that they manage.  They have seven offices in the United States and clients from all over the country.  

C.R. England, Inc.’s headquarters is based out of Salt Lake City, Utah and also have divisions all over the world.  With humble beginnings, C. R. England Trucking was started in 1920, and it is still growing with other services such as “Truckload Brokerage, LTL/Parcel and Global Sourcing, Supply Chain Engineering, Special Project Engineering and Warehousing.”
